Dear Dealers

Please let me introduce myself. I am Kieran Breheny, based in the UK and my colleague Bruce Pelkey is based in the USA we are the founders of Navigate-us.com.

We think this website is really needed by your customers and although we only launched in September 2008 the interest from end user has been very good.

How does it work?

Navigate-us.com is the largest marine electronics comparison website in the world. We have over 600 products listed on the website from the major manufacturers including Cobra, Furuno, Garmin, Humminbird, Lowrance, Raymarine and many more.

The user or consumers, can use the website, for free. To research and compare many products for their navigational and boating pleasure needs. Once they have narrowed down their choice they can hit the ‘GET QUOTE’ button. This action sends an automatic email to all dealers for that region.

You as a dealer then have direct access to the end user. Navigate-us.com are not involved in the transaction between you, the dealer, and the end consumer.

What are the benefits to the dealer?

There are a number of benefits

• You receive direct emails from customers who are actively looking for marine electronics
• Your sales can be improved without investing more, or any, money in your own website
• Free advice from Navigate-us about which products are HOT (i.e. most frequently researched on our website). This could help you in your stocking (inventory) decisions and help your keep investment in stock (inventory) down.

How much does it cost?

It's free to users.

Navigate-us charge dealers to be listed on the website. There are a range of prices, but the average cost to a dealer is approx £35/$70 per region per month (The UK has been split into 20 regions and the USA 99 regions), you can sign up as many or as few regions as you wish.

Where does the data come from?

The manufacturers have provided the data and in most cases entered the data onto the website themselves. Its all publically available and we have brought it all together to help the consumer.

What's the purpose of the guidance section?

We believe that the Navigational marine electronics market has become overly complex; therefore we have tried to simplify the introduction to the 14 product group with some basic guidance.

In tough market conditions its best to use all available tools to attract new customers, we believe we offer you as a dealer a low cost way of increasing your incremental sales. If you would like to apply to become a dealer please see below.

Navigate-us is the world’s largest marine electronics navigation comparison website. It is unbiased and is built on integrity using world class boating knowledge and extensive experience in the marine electronics industry.

The guidance section, outlining the most important aspects of marine electronics, will help you with your purchasing decision and ensure you buy products best suited to your type of boating.

The website does not supply prices directly as this varies depending on installation requirements and changing product costs. The guidance section covers an explanantion of the price brackets (Low-Medium-High) for each of the product groups. You can search for products that fit your budget.
The dealer links will provide you with the most up-to-date market pricing and ensure you have everything required for a successful installation.

About us- the Founders

Navigate-us was founded in 2008 by Kieran Breheny and Bruce Pelkey, both qualified engineers with over 20 years experience designing marine electronics. Kieran lives in the South of England, close to the Solent. Bruce resides in Southern Florida. Both enjoy getting on the water as often as possible. The need for the website became obvious to them after spending many years listening to customers, both novice and experienced, talk about their electronic navigational equipment and the time consuming task of reviewing manufacturers data. This site is aimed at helping those customers - and to bring new customers to boating.
